Vinalhaven

We are grateful to offer tree work to the community of Vinalhaven. We offer a variety of arborist services in the Spring and Fall seasons, and will be on island throughout the winter pruning fruit trees.

Scheduling

We batch our work in 1 – 2 week long trips spring summer & fall. The dates for these trips will be posted on this page. As the date approaches we will be in touch to schedule your work.

Please keep in mind that due to our limited work days on the island we will not be able to get to everyone. We start our trips with the largest projects requiring the most equipment, personnel & skill. We also prioritize based on possible risk to buildings and property. Thus far we have always still had ample time for smaller jobs, so please don’t hesitate to reach out whatever your inquiry.

Our Condo. Association has used Symmetree services twice. Once was for risk reduction removal of several trees. Recently we needed urgent removal of a large tree that fell on one of our condo units during a bad storm with a large branch stuck on part of the unit’s roof. Galen Lichterfeld has been thoughtful about approaching management of the trees on our property. He and his crew have been careful and skillful in their work and clean up. In the most recent instance the work had to be done in fading daylight in the cold at the end of a busy day but was done with patience and care and skill. I highly recommend Symmetree.

Galen totally transformed an area that was filled with brambles and trees, and created a wide path that even a vehicle could drive on. He chipped the wood that was pulled, and filled the path with it, making a nice walking trail. He works efficiently, and safely. He also cabled some trees for me several years ago, and the cable is still in good condition and the trees look healthy and are well supported. I highly recommend his services.
